Most of the saddlebags we sell are made using a tough 10 oz. oak-tanned full-grain leather, (unless noted otherwise in the description) ,that is perfect for motorcycle saddlebags. All of the saddlebags are drum dyed with a black waterproof topcoat. These leather saddlebags are riveted for strength and feature heavy-duty chrome on brass buckles and chrome on brass studs to stand the test of time. Our Throw Over Leather Motorcycle Saddlebags feature an adjustable yoke that connects the two sides of the saddlebags together. This yoke goes under the seat of your motorcycle. You will probably want to purchase support brackets for your new saddlebags. Most people purchase a basic "u-bracket" found at most motorcycle shops. The brackets keeps the leather saddlebags from touching the wheels, shocks, or gears.. The Bolt-On Leather Motorcycle Saddlebags allow you to mount your saddlebags to your motorcycle using permanet hardware or Ghost Brackets. Each saddlebag's description will contain a list of motorcycles it will fit. The Bolt-On Saddlebags feature an Fiber Reinforced PVC backing. This makes the saddlebag extremely durable and allows easier installation. Most people are currently purchasing Ghost Brackets quick release bracket system for their saddlebags. We do carry these in our Ghost Brackets section on this site. The Ghost Brackets allow you to remove your leather saddlebags and have the original sleek look of your bike.
