What is a Ghost Bracket? A Ghost Bracket is saddlebag bracket to mount saddlebags with. They are primarily designed to work with your bolt-on saddlebags although it is possible to use the with throw-over saddlebags. Why do I need them? Ghost Brackets are designed to be quick release. Instead of permanently mounting your saddlebags to your motorcycle you can now take them off literally in seconds. They also protect your motorcycle by keeping the saddlebags away from touching parts of the bike that could get scratched or damaged. How do they work? Ghost Brackets consist of a few main components which are the Ghost Brackets which get mounted to the saddlebags and the keepers which replace 2 of the bolts one each side your rear fenders. The brackets once attached to the bags are mounted by placing them over the keeper bolts and sliding them down then you lock them in place. Are they hard to install? Most people would say no they are not. Most people who buy saddlebags from us usually by Ghost Brackets as well. They come with instructions and basically are as simple as replacing a couple of bolts on your fender and attaching the brackets to your bags with nuts and bolts. How do they look? Fantastic! The keeper bolts which replace the two bolts on each side rear fender are polished steel. So when the bags are off your bike looks stock. Since the brackets are on your bags when you take the bags off there are no brackets left on your motorcycle. How hard are they to take on and off? It will vary, but most people can unlock their saddlebags and take it off the docking posts called keepers within 2 - 7 seconds. Putting them on once you get the nack of lining them up can take just as few seconds.
