Honda has officially opened its 38th motorcycle production facility in Aliağa, Izmir, Turkey. The new plant, operated by Honda Türkiye A.S., represents a strategic move to bolster Honda's presence in the growing Turkish market and expand its global reach. The opening ceremony occurred in April 2026.
According to a press release from Honda, the new factory is designed to meet the increasing demand for both personal and commercial motorcycles in Turkey. The company noted that Turkey has become one of Honda’s key growth markets; Honda took the number one position in the market for the 11th consecutive year in 2025.

The Aliağa plant is designed to adhere to Honda’s global manufacturing standards, focusing on efficiency and flexibility. Honda intends to use this facility to deliver reliable and affordable motorcycles while also strengthening its local supply chains. Based on images included in the release, the factory will be making PCX scooters, though it is not confirmed what other models will be produced at the facility.
Hans de Jaeger, President and Director of Honda Motor Europe, emphasized the company's confidence in the Turkish market and its commitment to long-term cooperation. Satoru Yamada, President of Honda Türkiye A.S., highlighted Honda's belief in Turkey and its vision for a close, trusted relationship built over many years.
Honda's new facility also reflects a commitment to environmental responsibility. The plant’s design aligns with Honda’s global Environmental Vision, and Honda Türkiye continues to engage in social responsibility initiatives, including traffic education programs and reforestation projects.
With this new factory, Honda aims to advance its strategy of localized manufacturing and sustainable growth, providing mobility solutions across Europe and beyond.
